Lorenzo Boccabella, Lawyer with over 40 years of practice, is recognised as a Specialist in Migration Law. The material in Lorenzo’s seminars stem from a wealth of experience and passion within the Migration Law field. Lorenzo provides an educational experience where you can build your migration knowledge while discussing and evaluating current issues impacting on your professional practice. He was lead counsel in one of Australia’s most important High Court migration cases : Minister for Immigration and Citizenship v Li [2013] HCA 18
Alongside his migration practice, Lorenzo has been a migration educator for over 25 years, and has been a guest lecturer in Migration and Administrative law at Queensland University of Technology, Griffith University, Brooklyn University, the Law Council of Australia, the Migration Institute of Australia, the Queensland Bar Association, New South Wales Bar Association, the San Francisco Bar Association and the University of Parma in Italy.
Over the years, Lorenzo has appeared in all Australian Tribunals and Courts dealing with migration matters, including the High Court, all Federal Courts, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the Refugee Review Tribunal and Migration Review Tribunal (as they then were), and the Magistrates Court (on criminal matters involving immigration). He is passionate about achieving the best result for his clients. Although his main chambers are in Brisbane, he has representative chambers in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, the Gold Coast, Italy Brussels & Hong Kong.
