The Migration Amendment Regulation 2013 No 1 puts an end to the subclass 456 visa and the associated Electronic Travel Authority visas.
Gone now is using such visas as a stepping stone to setting up a business.
There are 2 visas which can be used for short term business, the subclass 400 Temporary Work (Short Stay Activity) and the subclass 600 visitor visa in the Business Visitor Stream. The subclass 601 business ETA visa is still there but with limited business activity rights. Here is the new criteria for the subclass 400 visa:
