Examines the full gambit of the AAT review processes from which decisions are amenable to AAT review, time limits, what documents to seek from the AAT, the vexed and complicated issue of the ‘secrecy’ certificates under ss375A and 376 of the Migration Act, preparation and hearing strategies, post hearing strategies and analysis of court decisions on AAT review.
This Masterclass examines all issues about AAT reviews in the General Division which covers Business Visa cancellation, Character cancellations or refusals & Citizenship. The General Division operates more like a Court and the Minister is represented by a lawyer. The applicant’s representative conducts the case as if in court and the witnesses will be cross-examined.

Also includes an examination of the special status of New Zealanders.
Intensive Criminal Law – Migration Law Masterclass – 4 hours 4 CPD points Workshop and webinar
Examines the complete law in relation to visa cancellation based on criminal convictions, the compiling of evidence, applications for review to the AAT, judicial review, a complete examination of visa cancellation as a result of other behavior issues, a particular separate examination of the situation involving New Zealanders, the role of ministerial directions and the Convention on the Rights of Child and other conventions, includes a complete examination of character issues in the visa grant process and the role of character assessment in Australian citizenship law.
